Overview
Objectives
This eight-session course covers each of the Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician exam's topic area, including
- Anatomy and physiology
- Public safety in the healthcare facility
- Fundamentals of electricity and electronics
- Healthcare technology and function
- Healthcare technology problem-solving
- Healthcare information technology
What to expect
The virtual modality is a live-streamed, instructor-led course delivered via Zoom. Learners who attend this course will have the ability to direct questions to the instructor in real-time that will either be answered at the end of the session or addressed via the AAMI Connect discussion group. All course registrants have access to this private group and are encouraged to share information and ask questions throughout the duration of the course. Should a registrant not make the live session, all eight classes are recorded and posted in the AAMI Learning Management System within 24 hours for viewing at a later time.

Donald Armstrong
•Been a HTM professional for over 40 years
•Has taught the CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) Review Course since 2020
•Graduated with a bachelor's from Kaplan University in 2010
•CBET since 2006 and CHTM since 2016.
•Had Held Biomed, Lead Biomed, Customer Quality Manager, CBET and Sr. Manager roles throughout my career but my heart and soul are being a Biomed (especially in the OR).
•Current Role is Technical Training Manager for Renovo Solutions
•Previously worked at Stanford Health Care, GE Healthcare and UCSF.
